Privacy Policy

mCalculator is operated by the mCalculator team and published at mcalculator.net. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit, who processes it, and how you can control it. Questions? Email hello@mcalculator.app.

No accounts, no calculator data collection. mCalculator does not require accounts, logins, or personal information to use any calculator. The numbers you enter into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.

Optional AI features. Two features are opt-in and only run when you click them: “Explain this result” on a calculator page, and the plain-English calculator finder on the home page. When you use them, the question you type (or the input and result figures shown on that page) is sent to our AI provider solely to generate that response. These requests are not linked to an account, are not used to identify you, and the figures are not stored in a profile. If you prefer that nothing leaves your browser, simply do not use these buttons.

Cookies and analytics. With your consent, mCalculator uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic, how visitors interact with our calculators and pages, general device and browser information (such as browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP address), referring sites, and page performance. These services set cookies or use similar technologies (such as local storage or pixels). We use this data only to improve the site, fix errors, and prioritize which calculators to build next. We do not sell or share individual usage data, and we do not use analytics to identify you personally.

Advertising. Pages on this site may display third-party advertisements served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. A list of Google's advertising partners and the cookies they use is available in Google's advertising cookies documentation.

Consent (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). Analytics and advertising storage are disabled by default and are only enabled after you give consent through our cookie banner. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, so consent signals are passed to Google before any measurement or ad request runs. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from our Cookie Policy page. Where the GDPR applies, our lawful basis for optional cookies is your consent; for essential site operation it is our legitimate interest in delivering a working website.

Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we do not operate accounts and do not collect directly identifying information, most requests concern analytics or advertising identifiers held by Google. Contact us at hello@mcalculator.app and we will help where we can.

Data retention and transfers. We do not store visitor data on our own servers. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google under its own retention schedules and may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under Google's standard contractual safeguards.

Children. mCalculator is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the bottom of the page.
